DAMAGE OUTCOMES
Alright, so you've fought and hit your opponent. What does that mean? Werewolves regenerate right? Well yes and no. They regenerate outside of fighting, unless you have gifts otherwise which you may use between rounds, but otherwise healing kicks in after combat.
KO!
Knock outs happen in Lupus or Homid forms when bashing or Lethal damage hits 7. If bashing damage exceeds 7 (IE Jay does 9 bashing damage to tanith) 2 of that damage becomes lethal damage.
What does this mean? You must make a check to stay on your feet. The check is Stam + wits DC damage when you hit 7 and up (Max of DC10).
Example: Jay does 9 bashing to Tanith. That's 7 bashing and 2 lethal. So tanith to stay on his feet must roll Stam + Wits diff 9 (7 full bashing 2 lethal). The same applies to Lethal damage. Just change the proper terms above. (Bashing to lethal; lethal to agg)
KO in other forms!
The same rules apply above, but in Glabro, Crinos and Hispo forms, you're stronger and more resilant. Bashing damage can't take you out. It must be Lethal at 7 to make your first check to stay awake.
DEATH!
In combat people die. It happens. Fighting in Crinos can be ugly business and many don't make it out of these challenges alive for a reason.
IF in any form, you take 7 agg damage, you must make a survival check! Fail, and you die if medical aid doesn't come RIGHT NOW! (By right now I mean an acceptable In game time for NPC medics to arrive or a player to make a medical roll good enough to save you)
The check for your very survival is Str + Stam DC 6 + Damage over 7 (Max DC10)Aggravated damage.
If you fail this roll, the Medics must roll their medicine roll 1 success reducing 1 point of Agg damage to lethal damage until Agg damage is less then 7. (You may reroll your survival check after each medical roll if you failed to stay alive.) If you have failed your survival check one away for medical help, or the medics have failed theirs twice, You are DEAD. Do not pass go, do not collect, Pass straight through the pearly gates into Garou heaven.
failed medical combined with failed survival = dead
1 round without medical = dead
2 failed survival in a single round with medical = dead
You MUST roll awake and/or alive checks as applicable after EVERY action AND at the bottom of every round. You fail, you're done until someone can get you under 7. If they can't get you under it in 1 round, You're dead.
Combat healing:
Let's say you go down in the middle of combat and fail your survival check! Oh no! Well, you can spend your 10xp to save your butt, or you have until the end of that round for someone to make a medical roll or a gift to get you under 7 Agg. They don't, you are dead, left to die by the healers in your group.
But Dude! What happens if I fail at the bottom of a round?
No worries! If you fail at the bottom of a round check, you have until the bottom of the next round to be saved.
It is 1 FULL round before you a totally dead that someone can try to save you. if you fall in the first rage round of round 1, you have until the first rage round of round 2 to be saved.
