| BACKGROUND: | Seattle has the reputation as being the place of high technology and coffee shops at every corner. Open minded people with their free love and openness to now their legalized pot. Seattle is viewed much like San Francisco and like San Francisco people do not talk about the dark side of the city.
That the unspoken parts of Seattle off of Pike and Pine streets Bailey grew up. Here drugs, prostitution and gangs ruled the streets. Surviving drive by shootings became a life skill for Bailey. She grew up hiding, her refuge was on the stage at school, but a young beautiful lass looking for away out of the crime ridden area can be seen as easy prey.
In High School, the redhead turned heads as she made a name for herself. She dreamed of American Idol. She thought her voice would be her way out. Little did this little songbird know just how her gifted voice would change her life.
One day after a long rehearsal, she headed home in the darkness of the streets. She knew she should have waited for her mother. She knew she should have called but she was excited. She had gotten the lead in the school musical and someone was going to be coming down from New York to hear her sing. It was then she discovered how bad her move was being cornered by some gang members their leader, T-Ball. She thought it was funny name for a man with a scary reputation. T-Ball wanted Bailey and the hell she was goingto say no. Girls like her do not get out of her, they work for him and his crew on the streets either selling drugs, their bodies or both.
Bailey refused but T-Ball would not take no for an answer and he and his boys planned to inniate the redhead like they have done with many girls in the past, but those girls in the past did not have the spirit of Gaia’s Warriors ready to come out. T-Ball and his crew soon saw red in a whole new way as Bailey went through her First Change destroying the gang members and T-Ball in the process.
She ran scared of what she had done and what she would do, but her clan, her Tribe, the Fianna, were keeping an eye out for her. They took her to their Caern in the city teaching her the ways of the Fianna. Her voice and looks were a natural a sign of her birth moon. A Galliard was born with possible potential.
For her first performance for the Elders she studied the Silver Record and found a lost passage the story of a young warrior lost to his pain of losing his pack until Gaia seeing his pain sent a songbird to bring him back from huronu. With this story she made into a song that moved her Elders bringing back the warrior’s lost name. The Song of the Songbird it was called and her initiation as a Garou was complete.
She learned the songs and skills that went along with her new role that she craved, but she soon found her ties to this world are different. She would slip to the Spirit World when under stress. She would be easily seen as the Veil did not surround her and in the city such things can be dangerous. The Veil Shall Not Be Lifted… Yet she could not help that the Veil did not surround her.
She heard of stories from Silent Striders in the Sept about a Caern deep within the wood of the state. Bailey with just the clothes on her back and a knife, ventured into the woods to find such a place, a place where she can sing the songs of the Garou. |
