( The theme of today's chapter of Keanu's Exile: youtu.be/b-I2s5zRbHg ) The Crescent Moon, the moon of his birth, hung high in the sky above... And though Keanu's eyes were open and looking skyward, he didn't see the moon.. Who's slivered appearance made it seem as though Luna herself had turned her back on him at the Rite of Ostracism's completion too.. It felt like she had. What he saw as he gazed up from beneath the covers of the bed he was laying on was the darkness that was the ceiling of the hotel room he was in. His first night and day of exile had been spent fleeing the bawn and the dangers that laid just outside. He wasn't a fool, and he knew that if he lingered so close to that place of power, he could fall prey to any number of their enemies on approach without aid from his former brothers and sisters.. Or worse for him, stumble upon the Red Talons, who had no hope of taking on alone. Leaving the caern was a matter of hitchhiking then. He had some cash pulled out of a family trust he still had access to.. a gift from a mother who understand why her son had chosen to go his own way when he became one of the secret part of the family's legacy: The People. And he'd hitchhiked before.. there was always someone, usually a trucker, who could use the extra cash and the company of another. Sometimes it was the right trucker looking for a different kind of company.. he didn't even need to fork over the cash. Lucky for him it'd been a kind enough couple who only required his money and not his body for the ride from the nearest road near the park to town. Now, the ride from there to Seattle had required a bit more effort on his part. Prostitution was of course illegal, but there was nothing wrong with giving a blowjob to a lonely trucker in thanks for a ride.. right? He tried not to think too much on it. His sexual preferences had been something he'd kept close to heart.. even from his pack outside the occasional flare of interest at this kin or that.. or his overly embarrassed reactions to some of Charlie's teasing. Jay was strong and proud.. he could afford to offend the demands of the People with his sexuality, but Keanu never felt that lucky... until recently. And look what it got him? Bitter was an understatement for how the Uktena was feeling at this point.. So this method of securing a ride to Seattle was made that much easier. If the People took offense to a little lot lizarding used to escape their influence.. all the better as far as Keanu was concerned. Not to mention it would be harder to track his movements once he'd gone if anything allied to the Talons had seen him leave. Why he had chosen to first return to Seattle was a different story entirely. He was far from fleeing home with tail tucked between his legs. In fact he was terrified of his mother or the other Uktena of the city discovering what had taken place at the caern, afraid of the shame he'd bring them. That said, Seattle -was- home, and it knew it better than anywhere else in the world. He'd run wild on the streets for years before he even had the notion he might be a part of something larger than humanity.. And so it was to Seattle that he chose to recoup and regroup after the Rite of Ostracism.. And that was about as far ahead as he'd managed to think thus far. By the time his last John-ride dropped him off in front of a local LGBT bar, Pride and Rage had burned themselves into sorrow and shame. But what better way to drown those most hated of feelings than with liquor and the company of an anonymous companion? He glanced over next to him at the sleeping form of said anonymous and temporary distraction. He was older than Keanu but handsome.. The young professional had been drawn to the mixed Keanu at first by the youth's exotic looks and then by the primal aspect of the young Garou in his drunken anti-celebration. Peter was his name.. not that it really mattered to Keanu. His name could have been mud, but as long as he had a good body and a wallet to buy a place to stay for the night it would have worked out. The sun was setting again.. Had they slept all day? Probably... Peter was in town on vacation visiting friends and celebrating a promotion. That part had been unfortunate for Keanu. He'd planned on robbing the anonymous john the next morning, but Peter had just been too sweet.. and Keanu wasn't all that sure that taking out his anger on such a man was worth it.. He remembered that at some point take out had been ordered because he wasn't hungry.. Had they drank again? He knew they hadn't gone out because he only had the clothes he'd left the caern with.. Peter stirred, and Keanu rolled against the other's back to quell any wonder if he'd left. With a sigh he closed his eyes.. Tomorrow. Tomorrow he'd figure out where to go from here.. A day of drunk self-pity with a friendly face had been well and good. But now he had to decide what to do next. He couldn't drag this human down for his own comfort.. there was no honor in that. But he couldn't stay in Seattle. The longer he was here, the more likely it would be that the local Garou would sniff him out.. and a welcome home party was the last thing he wanted... Tomorrow would be a long day at this rate..

( This chapter's theme song: youtu.be/IMihuCdE8Zo ) Charlie's image filled Keanu's vision. "Keanu D'Arco, Eyes that See, of all of Gaia's Children, I have no such brother or member of my pack..." The image of Charlie said before turning and vanishing into the darkness. A pained looking Eli appeared, biting his own lip until the coppery scent of blood filled Keanu's senses. With a single finger, the Fenrir reached up to collect a dollop of his own vitae and pressed it to Keanu's semi-tanned cheek. "Keanu D'Arco, Eyes that See, of all of Gaia's Children, I have no such brother." Eli turned away and faded from view.. disappearing into a river of tears and blood even as a solemn Nine Toes approached him. Keanu fell to his knees and cried out for mercy. But Nine Toes only reached out and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Keanu D'Arcom, Eyes that See, of all of Gaia's Children, I have no such bother..." She said to him in a hollow voice as her eyes turned to the pitch empty blackness of night. ... Keanu awoke with a start, sitting up stock straight in the hotel bed. It was only now that he was awake that he realized he was cold, drenched in his own sweat.. and alone. A note beside him and voicemail on his cellphone indicated that Peter had gone out to visit his friends and get food.. He'd be back by dark. Keanu glanced at his watch. It was 3pm. Great -Gaia- how had he slept another day thru? Oh right.. the rea world was far more depressing than any nightmare.. if only because it was real.. And while he had no doubt that Peter would yet again keep his word and return by dark.. well.. He wasn't entirely sure he should wait.. wasn't entirely sure he deserved the honor of a friend and lover who came home when they meant to. With a shiver he dressed and moved to gaze out the window. There was a light snow falling from the mid-afternoon sky.. blanketing the entire city in a blanket of pure white false innocence. Just as Peter provided him with a false hope, Keanu realized. He was growing too close to his suitor he'd picked up two days before upon hi arrival. Peter was sweet and kind.. and if he -wasn't- a trap deserved much better than a monster on the run from his own monstrous people. Again his love and familiarity for Seattle surface, and his knees quivered again.. And the tears threatened to break through once more.. But how could he ever return home now without living not only with the shame of his failure mingled with the loss of his pack? It wasn't an option.. It just wasn't.. and he knew the longer he avoided the departure the harder it would be. Home was home for a reason after all.. And so as the sun set upon the city of Seattle, Keanu D'Arco gave it one last glance from the foothills to the east. He'd walked for two hours to reach the edge of the city. Self-pity wasn't enough to justify another lustful encounter this time.. He was tired from the walk, and his muscles ached from the exertion. but he'd need that pain and fatique where he was going.. to remember what was real and physical versus dream and ethereal... He gave Helios a salute as his physical form sunk below the distant horizon.. and as Luna rose in the east he let loose a howl of greeting to the moon, shifting from homid to Crinos as he did. He'd never performed nor learned the rite to greet the moon.. but for now his personal greeting to Luna and her light.. his totem.. would have to do. He glanced back one last time at the reflection of the Helios on the spires of glass that was Seattle.. and disappeared from the physical world entirely... Peter returned to his hotel room excited for three reasons: 1) a beautiful young man he'd been lucky enough to happen upon on this vacation awaited him.. 2) he'd got official word of his promotion from the office in the form of his pay raise in his directly deposited check.. and 3) he'd bought a ticket back to Oklahoma City for said beautiful young lover... But when he threw open the hotel door with a surprise proclamation, Keanu was no where to be found. The bottom drawer of their dresser was open.. and the boy's things were removed.. Everything except what Peter had spent his own money to buy his new found happenstance lover.. It felt like his heart fell out his butt as he slumped down in the chair at the desk of the room where a messily scribbled note read: "Dear Peter.. You're probably the best thing to ever happen to me.. you were the angel I needed at my worst. But as much as I want to stay, I have to go... We aren't something my life can afford.. and you deserve better. I wish you the best of luck- Keanu D'Arco. I'm sorry baby" Peter stared at the note.. reading it over and over until the sun rose.... But Keanu never returned.. never called again.

( Tonight's Theme: youtu.be/e8KTaBA4dqM ) Keanu woke again at the sounds of the nocturnal Umbra about him, but after a moment of checking his surroundings he was quite certain he was yet alone and in no danger.. It was merely that here in the Umbra, the world was full of the sounds of life even in the dead of the night. And he was quite certain he must have slept for several hours after greeting Luna's rise into the Umbral sky for she was now far overhead.. It wasn't surprising that he'd slept so long. He hadn't stopped his eastward trek since he'd left Seattle behind the previous night. He'd journeyed in lupus form, the better for long distance traveling. He hadn't been entirely sure where he'd been going at first, just that he was going. As he'd continued on though, his destination came to him as if he'd been inspired by the night itself as the star children above began their twinkling dance across the sky.. There was only one way he could face the Sept again.. only one way to answer the shame of his indiscretions and purify his prideful soul. "Moonshine, father of mine! I vow to you that I will ammend my wrong! I will journey to the Sky itself to apologize to the Moon and Earth themselves for breaking their laws for love alone can not atone for my sin against them!" He'd sealed his private promise to his pack's totem spirit with a long and sincere howl to the rising moon. Had he the energy he'd have continued his journey then, but the day of long travel with little rest had been all he could take. After much searching, searching he was sure would have taken Nine Toes half the time, he'd managed to find a suitable cave in one f the foothills of the Cascades to make camp in an area near to a grove pure enough to provided sustenance and suitable wood. He'd summoned a fire elemental and offered the wood to the being to provide light and warmth. The fire elemental had long since departed after the offered wood had been used up, and he shivered just slightly before shifting into his heavier and more furred Hispo form. He nearly filled the little alcove of a cavern.. but it was all the better for keeping himself warm. Tomorrow.. tomorrow during the day he would perfor the Rite of the Questing Stone. Uktena were masters of the occult and the Umbra.. at least compared to the other Garou Tribes. He benefitted from his previous training now in that he knew that it was said some of the mountains touched the Sky.. and he'd need to find one that reached high enough if he hoped to enter the Aetherial Realm. He didn't know the name of any specific mountain he thought might do.. but he hoped by perforing the rite to find a path to the Sept of the Stars, he'd at least have a better chance of finding his way. The Star Children peered down from their distant realm as he gazed up towards them from the mouth of his cave, and he couldn't help but think the mischievous beings were taunting him.. doubting his determination to reach the. Luna herself in her yet Crescent Face seemed to hide her emotions.. as though she was unconvinced but withholding judgement for the time being. "See you soon... I promise.." He said one last time as the giant Ezo or Hokkaido wolf rolled over more onto his side and fell back into slumber. Tomorrow would be another long day.. and he'd need all his energy for the ritual at hand..

Keanu glanced up at the umbral moon shining down at him from the aetherial realm and let loose a greeting howl in honor of Luna and his pack's totem the Man in the Moon. After the lengthy howl, he bowed his head and allowed the spectral glow that was a sign of Moonshine's favor return to him. The mountain landscape around him was bathed then in the light from his own luminous form.
He crouched down and picked up a small stone which seemed to particularly bask and reflect Moonshine's blessing. "Dear little stone so chosen by the Moon's own light.." he said as he dug through his open pack for a ball of grey yarn within. "I ask you now to favor me, child of Moonshine the son of the Moon, and grant me one request."
He pulled out a piece of yarn and bit it off. As he began to tie the yarn about the softy glowing stone, he continued on with his ritual request. "Lead me to my father's elder sister Sokhta so that I may regain my honor and repair the disgrace I have brought to myself, my pack, my Tribe, and my People." As he rose he closed his eyes and held the stone out as if in offering towards the moon, letting it daggle from his hand by the bit of yarn.
For long moments he stood there in utter silence, his eyes closed as he concentrated on the beautiful moonsilver form of Sokhta, Daughter of the Moon. The children of North Wind whipped by him, whistling in his ears promises to freeze them right off, but he didn't fear North Wind's children, and he didn't allow them to break his concentration on his goal.
The stone swayed more and more under the influence of the wind spirit's playful batting, but still Keanu refused to be distracted from his purpose. And so at last despite the spirit's mischievous attempts, the stone adopted a soft lunar glow of its own and rose in defiance of the wind and gravity. Keanu opened his eyes when at last he felt the gentle tug of the stone towards the Northeast. He smiled and only paused long enough to shoulder his pack. "Thank you... Thank you my friend," he whispered to the stone as he followed its instant tugging further up the mountain and around a bend.
Slowly the moon overhead made her arching way across the dark night sky, and still the stone lead Keanu further and further up the mountain. The stone cared not for path or obstacle, and so there were many delays as Keanu was forced to find his own best way up the increasingly treacherous umbral mountain, putting his faith entirely in the constant tugging direction of the stone. Eventually he tied the other end of the yarn around his left wrist so that he could use both hands to climb in Glabro form to help ward off the cold.
Eventually as Helios was peeking over the eastern horizon, Keanu stood, with a little wear and tear, on a plateau very near to the summit of the mountain. He stood there a moment, hands on his partially bent knees as he caught his breath. Despite his exhaustion, he was grinning wide for there at the edge of the plateau like an arching bridge of white, stood the beginning of a brightly shining moonbridge path leading upwards in a winding fashion right up into the lightening sky above.
With a howl of joy he ran forward and onto the path, his energy renewed. Exhaustion might overtake him later.. but for now he knew he had to press on while he had the opportunity and his path was before him. After all.. he couldn't even be sure that the bridge would still be visible by the light of day..

The journey to the Aetherial Moon had been longer and taken more effort than the theurge had ever imagined. It was true that Sokhta favored the Theurges of all the auspices of the Garou, but she favored those of the Star Gazers more than that, and without a Star Gazer as a guide, the Lunes which guarded the moon caused him all sorts of grief and havoc. Dark Paths and misleading moon paths were everywhere, and it was only by the use of his gifts, wits, and the Questing Stone that he ever managed to arrived on the Moon.
There he found himself on the outskirts of Sokhta's garden where moonsilver soil gave rise to great fields of blue alfalfa and all manner of other field plants of all the shades of blue, silver, grey, and white. And as the moon's phase on Earth approached the judging Half-Moon, Keanu at last came to the white walls of the Garden of the Moon which was made up of all manner of night blooming plants, both seen and unseen upon the earth herself.
Here in this land of eternal twilight, the stars above cast a soft twinkling light that mingled with the soft glow of the moonsilver earthen path. And together these two sources of light created all manner of reflections and sparkles off the many flowers present along the walls of the maze.
The smell of the Lunar Garden were sweet and heady.. nearly so strong that they begged for him to tarry along the path, to stop and enjoy their wistful, dreamy aromas. And Keanu was greatly tempted to linger there forever in the convoluted garden of dreams and flowers... but his will at last won out, and he pushed forward to arrive at last at the garden's center.
There before him was a sprawling pool of liquid moonsilver that rippled and reflected the stars above, and the floor of the center of the garden was made up of a countless number of pathstones which all glowed a soft white. At the head of the pool was crafted a silver throne who's back was a Philodox Moon.
And there, there upon the throne sat a white cat with glowing blue eyes and a silver half moon set upon her brow. The cat lounged there on the throne, watching Keanu with unblinking eyes as he knelt before the throne across the silvery pool between them. "Rise.." Came a hearty female voice as if from nowhere but with the distinct sensation that it was the cat which spoke. "Keanu Eyes that See of the Uktena and legacy child of my brother Moonshine.. Rise and tell me your heart. Why have you dared this place when your own family has cast you out. Tell me what judgement you would seek here."
Obediently he rose from his kneeling position, though he kept his eyes downcast.. only seeing Sokhta through her feline reflection in the moonsilver pool. "Highest Lambent Lady.. Daughter of the Moon, I come to you not as a vengeful exile seeking better judgement or vindication. I have accepted my just reward for my folly and hubris.." He spoke true and with the knowledge that Sokhta would have seen right through any attempt to lie, especially now during her time as the Judge. "I seek only to gain forgiveness from the patrons of the Garou, namely your mother's through you and Gaia's through Eshtarra, before I can find myself worthy to return to my people.. I must know that Gaia's allies still see a use for me despite my fallen state."
The cat hissed, and Keanu cringed back at the sound, knowing full well Sokhta could kill him with a thought. "You yet walk the earth do you not? Of course the Mother has use for you..." There was a moment of silence as the glowing feline resettled herself. "But I see truth in your words and a genuine attempt to redeem yourself in this quest you have taken up. This I will relay to my mother, that you would seek now to aid your people as your own laws dictate. But be warned, Son of Uktena.." There came another long silence.. so long that he couldn't bear it and looked up to meet the beautiful feline's gaze. He shrunk back from the raw power he saw there as she said. "You will never receive such mercy again for hubris. As much as we require the People in these final days.. your rebellion costs us more than you could ever hope to be worth."
Keanu knelt again and bowed graciously before the lunar princess. "Yes, Sokhta o' Lambent Lady.. I hear your words, and I will keep them close to heart and mind forever."
"Then Rise..and go, knowing the gift you have received today for your troublesome journey is Life." And as Keanu rose again to his feet a path of glowing white moonlight shot up from his end of the pool, leading upwards into the sky and obscuring his view of the throne and Sokhta upon it, but he still heard her words. "Go now to my cousin Eshtarra.. she has accepted your presence to hear your apology for herself. Go with haste before we change our minds.." But Keanu needed no warning.. He was already upon the moonbridge and taking his lupus form as he dashed along it into the dark sky above towards the Aetherial Earth..

( Muse of the Chapter youtu.be/b8ri14rw32c ) Keanu, in Lupus form, streaked down the brightly light moon path leading from the Aetherial Moon and domain of Sokhta, Luna's daughter, to the Aetherial Earth and domain of the Songteller, Gaia's own child Eshtarra. The path was bright and powerful, made so by the fullness of the moon as he approached the end of lengths of the road from the Moon. There was little way to describe the beauty and awe of the look of the planet, the Aetherial reflection of the Earth here in this wondrous realm. The brightness of the lunar road currently eclipsed that of the multitude of Solar Wind trails that sparkled like bridge of glittering gold, the gift of Helios' son Katanka-Sonnak to the Aetherial Realm connecting the many domains of the planetary Incarnae. A vast multitude of these roads lead to Eshtarra's Realm, and Keanu was amazed by their golden beauty, which rivaled the glittering beauty of the Star Children which danced in the void between the Realms, unconcerned with the worries of men or beast. As moon path from Sokhta's Garden began its arching descent towards the planet, a great number of howls erupted from the darkness between the stars. "Who comes to this holy place? Halt and tell of your purpose, traveler!" These howls seemed to say, and the very beauty of their lupine warning gave the questing Theurge pause. Coming to a halt on his path, Keanu lifted his muzzle to the Star Children upon and loosed a howl of answer to the mysterious cries from the dark. "It is I, Keanu Eyes That See, Cliath Theurge of the Uktena, member of the Luna's Sentinels Pack of the Hunters Hunted Sept!" And before he continued, he saw from the horizon their approach.. Nine great wolves riding on the winds of the Katanka-Sonnak bounded towards his position there on the moon bridge. They were unlike any wolves he'd ever seen, either of Material or Spiritual nature. They were larger than any hispo he'd encountered save perhaps for Bear.. But they had the regal stature and bearing only the most pure blooded of Fangs could ever hope to lay claim to. The spirit wolves' coats were the stuff of the Void and glittered with a spattering of what seemed to be stars. Their eyes and claws seemed to be vested with the luminescent brilliance of the Moon at her fullest. As they came to a halt before him on the great bridge of light, barring his passin, the greated among the Nine stepped forward and spoke to him in the ancient high tongue of the Garou saying, "Exiled One, what brings you here to the realm of the Earth's own daughter? Speak now, wandering Child of the Mother, and know that we will see through any lies to know your heart. Deceit and ill intent will only lead to your death here in this place for only the pure of heart may pass us." Keanu bowed deep before the great pack, still in his small and agile Hokkaido Lupus form. "On my honor and my life, I swear to you that I bring no ill intent with me on my journey here to the Songteller's Realm. I seek only to complete my Quest for Redemption. The Lambent Lady has accepted my plea for forgiveness, and it was she that opened this bridge so that I may hope for the Songteller's mercy as well. Please, honored Guardians, allow me passage to seek renewal and cleansing by her wise decision in either direction." Long was the silence between his words and any response by the Nine, and Keanu remained bowed and submissive before them, subsumed with the sense that they were staring right to the core of his eternal being, searching the truth of his quest and the purity of his heart. At long last the greatest of the Nine stepped forward and said in the High Tongue, "Rise and go forward then to Eshtarra, Child of Uktena. But know this, her judgement will not full complete your quest. Only when you return home and stand again before your brothers and sisters will your heart know the final judgement of your mistake: will they accept you back or turn you away again? You must accept their decision no matter the direction either.. only then will your Quest be truly complete." The lupine Keanu nodded and wagged his tail in the joy felt from passing the Guardians of Eshtarra's Test of Heart. But then he bowed again and said, "Wise are your words Great One, and I will keep them close to heart as I go on." And then he rose as the greatest of the Nine stepped aside to clear a path along Luna's bright bridge. With a howl of joyous victory, the Hokkaido wolf jetted past the great starry wolves, and they watched with moonlit eyes as his much smaller form disappeared along the descending arch of the bridge and the Great One's own howl went out to announce to their mistress the imminent arrival of the Theurge..

(Chapter Muse: youtu.be/JhRZOln78O0 ) The rest of the journey to Aetherial Earth was short and made shorter by Keanu's unflinching persistence. His supplies were running low, and his body ached for rejuvenation and rest. But he was eager to reach his destination for more than one reason. Firstly, his time of Exile had already passed, and he was eager to seek his Sept's forgiveness and the company of his pack mates once more. Also though, to stand before Gaia's own daughter was an honor few Garou received for such was the lack of purity in their intentions. And though she as an Incarna favored the Galliards, the wealth of stories and lore available to the Songteller were endless for she was the culmination of the tales of all things, the goddess of songs both sung and unwritten. It was an honor to stand before her and gain her wisdom however minute, even if the circumstances that gave him the opportunity to seek her were less than ideal. As he bounded down the moon bridge, he was awed by the endless and bountiful beauty of the wilds of Aetherial Earth. His path crossed over pure azure water, more blue than the very Sky itself of the Material Realm, and crested with brilliant crystalline white caps of foam. Countless silver fish lept from the sparkling water out of sheer joy of the experience, their scales shining and reflecting the brilliant light of Kotanka-Sonnak above. And then as the bridge's path came low to the ground, he passed over glittering white sands, purer than the salt of the Material Earth and colored by the gifts of smooth stones, many colored sea shells, and turquoise sea grasses gifted to the shore by the ocean himself. The sound of the waves was not the melancholy call to a far off dream lost to the mists of the sea like in the real world. No, instead it was the raucous Celebration of the Sea who was full of life and eager to share its gifts and wonders with the people of the land. Before him, he could see the end of his path, which set down upon the earth where the white sands mingled with the emerald grasses of slowly rising foothills. The clear sky grasslands quickly swept upwards along the hills to meet great trees of jade leaves who rose up in ever darkening hue along the steam clouded heights of a distant volcanic mountain. The sound of birds alright filled the air here at the base of the bridge which vanished the moment he stepped off onto Eshtarra's surface. He didn't glance back for there was no room for doubt or contemplation of past deeds left to him now. The joy of Eshtarra's bounty, sung by the sea and the birds, was overpowering, and his heart swelled with it. As he bounded forward, he yipped and bayed in joy of the place, momentarily forgetting his purpose as he moved forward, rejuvenated by the force of Life around him. Monkey-like spirits hooted in glee and cast down brightly colored fruit of all manner of varieties to the wolf, which he gladly accepted and devoured as he ran onwards. Birds of every imaginable color and size took flight at the sound of his celebratory journey. But when a crack like unnatural thunder and a beam of scarlet laser light came from off to one direction of the forest and set a beautiful bird with feathers of gold ablaze, the joy left him without warning. He stared in horror as the bird cried in terror and pain, burning as it fell like a meteor to land at the feet of a trio of what he presumed to be men.. though they were a horrible caricature of what Man may become, merged as they were with machine. Each had a hand and arm completely replaced by their laser device for hunting. They didn't even collect the meat of the ruined bird. They merely cried out and cheered for their victory in their "sport" as the other beasts ran in sheer terror. Keanu fled horror further into the forest, abhorred by what he had seen. And he only glanced back to see a deadly fight break out among the men as in their pride they contest who it was who deserved the glory for downing such a beautiful beast. The horrible scene renewed though his clarity of mind and the reason for his journey hear to this wondrous place, and it also left in his heart a renewed rage and reminder for what it was that the Garou fought for.. what made the semantics of their tribal politics and inner conflicts petty compared to the greatness of their purpose. And it was these things that fueled his continued running far from the beach and the hunters until he came to what seemed to be a wall of chaotically blooming bushes. They seemed to grow in a great ring, enclosing some unseen space, and from which a wordless song seemed to emanate from. Upon further inspection of the tiny flowers whose colors covered the spectrum of the rainbow and more, Keanu realized they were actually tiny birds and the source of the song.. and the more he listened, the more he realized it was a greeting of sorts, and so he responded with a howl of his own in an attempt to answer and join the song. And when he did, the song seemed to change, beckoning him forward and so he came, slipping through branches which seemed to move of their own accord from his path. The rainbow flock of birds flittered from branch to branch, singing endlessly, and they would sometimes come to land on his fur, enjoying its softness before careening off once more. At last he came into the clearing, standing once more on emerald grass beneath a clear blue sky speckled with rolling wisps of snow-white clouds. A brook gargled and gurgled across the glade, its rushing water as clear as glass. And it passed a great uncarved or formed crystal shot through veins of gold that glittered brightly in the sun's radiance. And there seated in a crevice of the Songstone, which seemed to be a source of the song the birds added to, sat a small woman. She was beautiful in her own way with evergreen hair that cascaded down around her like vines upon the crystal outcropping with skin the solid, loamy brown of the earth or a fine oak. Her eyes were as azure as the ocean. In her hair she wore a crown of thorns laced with brightly colored flowers, and her golden dress seemed to reflect the light of the sun, refracting it into a million different colored sparkles around her. "So.." She said with as deep as a forest and as full as the ocean's depths. "You come for redemption from your pain.. but does my mother receive the same?" She asked in a way that seemed to harmonize with the song around them. "Sing to me of your journey here and what you have learned so that I may add your triumphs and failures to those of the World if you wish to walk upon it as a part of its fate once more." Keanu rose from a lupine bow, and his form continued to rise, shifting with a beauty and grace possible only in such a spiritually pure place as Eshtarra's Aetherial Earth. Once in his homid form, he formed again before speaking, "Yes your grace, most holy Daughter of the Earth.. It would be an honor to share my tale with you.." As he rose from his bow, he began to sing the tale of his life, and the languages he used were many from his father's native english and the high tongue of the Garou to what bits of Japanese he'd learned from his mother as a child. He sang of his persecution as a naturally distrusted and misunderstood soul, of his quest for acceptance, and his joy and pride in being his family's first True Born since their adoption by the Uktena. He sang of his doubts of the good of the Nation, of the corruption of politics he allowed to consume him. He sang of the unimaginable terror and joy experienced when he joined his pack and of his most intimate love and frustrations for each of the pack's members. He sang of his triumphs amongst the Sept and his rising stature amongst the People and then of his meteoric fall when he stepped upon the head of a fallen warrior. He sang of the good intentions and love that he had taken to excess that had lead to his ultimate Exile and of his renewed need for control. And then he sang of his journey and all the lore of Umbra he'd gained through first hand experience just through this journey from the Cascade Mountains outside Seattle to here, upon the Aetherial reflection of Gaia herself in a Realm far from home. And then finally he sang of what he'd witnessed on his way from the beach and how it had renewed more than ever his desire to rejoin his Sept and family, to cast aside the frivolous rivalries of the Material to bring about not only his own redemption but that of the Mother herself. When he was done, a silence fell upon the glade. Eshtarra smiled softly and said only, "Then tarry not, but go and save our Mother." With the cry of another great golden bird which rose from the forest beyond the Glade, the Glade's song renewed, and a gateway from the Aetherial Realm was opened to Keanu's left. And as commanded by Eshtarra, he did not tarry but rather hurried through. The full moon was nearly past its phase in the cycle, and he was eager to return home..

( The theme song of the conclusion: youtu.be/TbIWW5ygsnc ) The gateway summoned by the Incarna crackled ominously as Keanu slipped through its membrane of brilliant, shifting light in an array of dazzling colors, like a snippet of a rainbow. It gave off a feeling of dynamic, wild, energy just like the entity that had called it forth. With one last held breath Keanu stepped forward and into the membrane of shifting on light, placing his faith in the fact that Eshtarra had no reason to truly mean him harm.. that this portal would just take him to a place to add to his journey's lengths somehow for some unknown purpose only the greater spirits themselves could comprehend.. It was like stepping through ice or a sheet of chilled water. The light around him was terrifyingly bright, and he clamped his eyes shut as he pushed forward through the membrane until.. nothing. He just simply seemed to have popped out on the other side. He felt a cool breeze against his back and he opened his eyes. It took him a moment to realize where he was, but when he finally realize it was all he could do to simply gawk slack jawed at the generosity and sheer -power- of the spirits. Eshtarra had transported him not just back to the Penumbra.. but to the Material Realm just a few hours away from the Sept in the depths of the Northern Cascades. Eshtarra was famous for her gifts whose song gifts pleased or impressed her.. but Keanu could think of no greater gift than this. With a great cry he burst forward, knowing the direction of the caern instinctively.. as if his heart acted a radar for the location of the ones he loved. He ran the entire way. Fatigue was alien to his mind and foreign to his body. Nothing could dissuade the young theurge from his return now in these final hours. In his hokkaido wolf form both for speed and warmth, he ran the entire way until finally... [00:56] <Keanu`> A howl stretched out across the bawn. It was a howl that had got long unheard, a howl that had been expected to have return several days ago under the Gibous moon when the Galliards reigned.. but Keanu hadn't returned then. He hadn't even returned in the immediate full moon afterwards.. It was only now that the question of survival had begun to arise that he'd at last returned, an dhe was now announcing that return at the border of the caern's bawn. His natural enthusiasm and excitement at returning was more than evident to any who heard his howl, even more so his suriving packmate.. [00:57] <Charlie`> And Charlie was off like a freaking Dart; the red Hispo wolf; now had a blue stream down the center of his fur; and by the time anyone else could react; Charlie was churning his legs like mad man to greet his packmate. [00:58] * +Nikolai cocks a brow to the howl, and at Charlie's reaction to such. Looking back to Nailah. "Someone returning from a journey?" [01:00] * @nailah looks towards the howl and stands as well. A small, sad smile forming on her lips. "A brother coming home.." And so did one journey end.. and another begin. This is what the Eyes Have Seen.
