We do have methods of using your hard earned xp in game for bonuses on the spot. The list of costs and benefits follows. These are entirely metagaming rules, feel free to use them, if you have the XP
1 xp: FLESH WOUND! Halve the damage taken after a soak roll. Rounded down. (works for all damage) (Once per combat!) 2 xp: NO CLUE! Have the GM post your next action for you to jump start you if you are stuck, or to solve a puzzle you just can't seem to get. 3 xp: HELP! Add +2 to your pool or reduce the difficulty by 1 4 xp: CANNOT FAIL! Add +4 to your pool or reduce the difficulty by 2 5 xp: DO OVER! Re-roll any roll you just made. 2 successes guaranteed. (This is limited to once per scene!) 10 xp: I DON'T WANT TO DIE! Your character will survive this encounter, no matter what.
