Thunderbird is one of the greatest of totems, a powerful spirit who battles against wicked creatures are legendary. He symbolises the pride of the predator in pursuit of his prey. Some say that Thunderbird has no real body - that he is a being of thundercloud with sharp claws and lightning flashing from where his eyes would be.
Traits
Ban
All Children with at least a 1 in Totem: Gain 2 temporary points of Wisdom and gain the ability to sprout wings in the umbra. All Children are prone to premonitions of danger or locations of mysteries hidden or long forgotten.
2 in totem: Children that meet this requirement gain the additional benefits: -2 difficulty to Stealth or Silence rolls and +3 dice to any gift involving air, travel or darkness. Gain Intimidation 2 and Survival 2, 1 Dexerity, 1 Strength, 2 Primal Urge.
3 in totem: Children that meet this requirement gain the additional benefits: +3 dice to engimas rolls and -2 to any roll involving the gauntlet (peeking, stepping sideways etc)
4 in totem: Children that meet this requirement gain the additional benefits: Gain the ability to see perfectly in pitch blackness as well as the Gifts: Eye of the Falcon and Spirit of the Bird.
5 in totem: Children that meet this requirement gain the additional benefits: The Garou gets a twice born spirit familiar (predator bird) and the ability to look into a situation and the possible outcomes, by reading what is to come from the bones of their familiar. They Garou must first ask a question they wish to see and roll their Intelligence and totem rating. Each success will reveal two possible outcomes for their question. This ability is only usable once per scene.
Spirit of the Bird (Rank 2)
Few enemies would expect a werewolf to attack from above, which is precisely why the Uktena developed the means to do so. The Garou may hover, fly or float. Any bird spirit can teach this Gift.
Shadow Lords of the Children of Crow camp learn this Gift. The Child of Crow is enveloped in shadows while using this Gift, making her easier to spot during the day but harder to spot at night. It is taught by a crow-spirit.
System
The player spends one Gnosis point. The Garou can fly at 20 mph and hover as she desires. The difficulties of all combat maneuvers increase by one. This Gift lasts for one hour.
Eye of the Falcon (Rank 1)
Falcon is a great predator, with keen eyes and a sharp beak. As he soars in the sky, he can spot the tiny movement in the grass that betrays the location of his prey at great distances. He shares this Gift freely with his children so that they may spot their foes easily and lead the Garou into battle with confidence. Any of Falcon's brood may teach this Gift.
System
All visual-based Perception and Alertness rolls are at -1 difficulty. The same applies to all long-range weapon attacks, such as a bow or gun. The Gift costs one point of Gnosis to activate, and lasts for a scene.

- Thunderbird gives shadowy, lightening infused wings to each of his Children when they enter the Umbra, allowing them to fly from place to place. Allows travel time while in flight to be cut in half.
- Spirit of the Bird is gifted to each pack member. (Shadow/Lightening infused, as is seen in the Umbra.) Eye of the Falcon gifted as well.
- They also gain +3 Enigmas, and may add three dice to any Dice Pool that involves cleansing or purifying something or someone in Gaia’s name (the Rite of Cleansing, for instance).
- His Children subtract two from all difficulties involving stealth, silence or quiet. Add an extra two dice to any Perception rolls made under the open sky. The pack gain three additional dice when using any Gift involving the air, travel, movement or darkness. Gain the ability to see perfectly in pitch blackness.
- Children of Thunderbird never enter fox frenzy; they always enter berserk frenzy.
- In desperate times, Thunderbird might strike a pack’s foes with lightning - but he dislikes having to intercede on his children’s behalf in this fashion, and will always demand a quest or boon as repayment.

- Thunderbird detests cowardice, and will not tolerate packs that flee from encounters where they aren’t clearly overmatched. His children never pass up a fight with a worthy foe.
- He also demands that his children battle against monsters, wicked spirits and the forces of decay wherever they can.
- He demands that his children become comfortable in the air, using the ability to fly in the umbra whenever the chance presents itsself.
- Thunderbirds children can only consume meat in raw form.
- He also expects his children to spend time communing with storms.
