Bright Eyes, Charlie, Drake, Hunter, Nailah, Restless One.
The individuals named have been immeasurably helpful, both in teaching John Reed in character, and in helping me as a player to learn and understand the setting and system from a hands on perspective. I feel that the growth and change John has undergone so far would not have been possible without them.
Bright Eyes - [Sparks] Made John realize exactly how far behind the curve he was compared to his elders. Inspired a deep sense of awe at the prospect of what the Garou are capable of as they learn and grow. Sparked his curiosity about what the Lupus were like. Gave him an example of what it meant to be Philodox. Provided the voice of caution.
Charlie - [Charlie] Took John on his first hunt. Led him in his first fight against an agent of the Wyrm. Taught him a hands-on lesson on how an Ahroun could ruin your day. Twice. Saved his life. Twice.
Drake - [Mokole] Let John feel welcomed. Taught him his first lessons about how much support the Sept provided for each other. Provided guidance for his forays into social structure and culture. Gave him his first opportunity to give something back. First to show him just how rich and complex the history of the Garou really is.
Hunter - [Xychotic] Showed John how varied and dynamic the population of the Sept could be. Served as the voice of wisdom in a difficult situation. Gave him someone he could more easily relate to in terms of age and humanity. Demonstrated the vital role of a Galliard in the field. Provided clear guidance in his first real conflict.
Nailah - [Tameh] Taught John the story of what he is. Walked him through the intricacies of his tribe. Satisfied his curiosity when he couldn't quite grasp the mysteries and secrets of his kind. Promised aid with the challenges he faces. Taught him the nature of the spiritual power he suddenly found himself with.
Restless One - [Forsakenwolf] Gave John the lesson he needed most about the nature of the wolf. Shared with him the closest experience he'd had with another. Provided the first taste of what being a pack could be like. Told him what it truly took to embrace his other half, instead of merely trying to understand it.
I'm not sure exactly how XP recommendations work in this context, but I feel that these players are so deserving of being rewarded that I would, without hesitation, give up my own XP for them. They have, without a doubt, given me some of the best online roleplaying experiences I have had in years.
